Well, Michael Chabon makes his debut in the Star Trek franchise with this episode he is one of the people behind the new Picard show,in case if you don't know. The episode is better than the first one,but,i expected to see something more different ,with more mystery ,in the X-files style,i wanted to see a ship or a city,or even more information about the Federation,because this is the first trek semi episode which is taking place in the future ,beside the ones from Star Trek Enterprise ,about Enterprise J and Temporal Wars.

Offcourse, there is the story of the old Spock from Star Trek , but everything takes place in the past. I think the love story is a little too forced,the ship's A. I espected something more darker,but once again,everything is for girls and..

Just like the team behind Star Trek Enterprise ,those guys don't know how to create things which are looking similar with the ones from the other Trek series. Discovery is the worst incarnation of a Star Trek series even if the series is getting better. By the way,i like they know what was wrong with the previous music scenes,because i don't think RnB music will resist in time as a classic style,actually i think it is the only music genre which will be completely forgotten so stop whining about why the Klingons are looking like a bunch of heavy-metal rockers or like some classic D.

Craft wishes to return to his wife and child on Alcor IV , but is told by Zora that he cannot; there is only one warp-capable shuttlecraft on the ship, and after a millennium, it is likely unworkable.

The Discovery cannot travel to Alcor IV because Zora is unable to disobey orders to maintain position, first given by her captain before they left the ship. Consequently, Craft spends his time watching old movies on the bridge with Zora. The film is viewed as a holographic projection.

Craft, wanting to do something nice for Zora, realizes he can dance with her through this projection, and replicates himself a coat much like Astaire's in the film.

However, as they dance, he recalls his wife and child and leaves the bridge, feeling as if is being unfaithful to them. Zora tried to persuade Craft that their interactions cannot be an act of unfaithfulness because Zora is not a person — to which Craft responds, " Liar.

Zora, realizing that Craft should attempt the journey home, equips him with a spacesuit and the warp-capable shuttle and, expressing gratitude to Zora, he warps off for home to see his family , unsure if he will even make it. Zora and the Discovery continue to maintain position. I don't know if I'll make it home or what I'll find when I'll get there. But I know you saved my life, healed my body. You reminded me what it means to be Human No poignant ironies. This is hard enough already.
